Seeking Fixed Roof Accommodation Owner/Operators for Industry Feedback

Tourism Northern Ontario is currently conducting a survey of fixed roof accommodation operator performance in Northern Ontario.  This survey will have many benefits to this organization and for tourism in the Northern Ontario region.  As you know, accommodation performance data published through Statistics Canada is usually three years behind, and only collected from the traveller’s experience. With your help, Tourism Northern Ontario will be able to utilize recent operator performance data to track changes in tourism accommodation receipts for the region, and enhance tourism marketing plans for Northern Ontario for 2017/2018.

The data collected through this survey will be collated and reported on by a 3rd party firm, CBRE.  CBRE’s Tourism & Leisure Group specializes in collecting operating and financial information for the hospitality sector through its on-going statistical programs and industry-wide studies.  They undertake research on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Industry Associations, Destination Marketing Organizations and private sector businesses in an effort to provide advisory services and industry outlooks.  All data collected will be reported in an aggregate format, with all individual property/business results remaining strictly confidential.   So not only are your answers anonymous, your data will only be reported as an industry-wide aggregate.
