What is Experience Fishing?
Experience Fishing is a Northern Ontario industry-led initiative that provides participating operators with the tools and resources needed to offer a standardized, safe, and unique fishing experience at their operations to non-angler visitors who are new to the experience of fishing.
Why was it developed?
Experience fishing is a fully funded program with the goal to attract new markets and increase guest stays and visitation at tourism operations in Northern Ontario, while sharing the love of fishing with those who have never experienced it.
Through strong collaboration with members of the French River Resorts Association and with industry owners, operators and stakeholders, Destination Northern Ontario is proud to grow this initiative in partnership with FedNor, Northern Ontario Heritage Funding Corporation, Northeastern Ontario Tourism, Algoma Country, Superior Country, and Sunset Country. This program is being coordinated by Nature and Outdoor Tourism Ontario. in collaboration with the steering committee, partners and operators.
